From the minute Clara Barton was born you knew she was gonna be trouble.  She put her ma thru 48 agonizing hours of labor before she decided she was finally gonna bust out, and when she did she kicked the doctor and pulled the nurses hair when they tried to clean her up.

 

Clara had no interest in grade school and it was a daily manhunt to find her when she ran off to her tree house.  Young adulthood was no better for her.  She robbed her first stagecoach at age 13 when the driver took her to the wrong destination, although she told the sheriff “he owed her”.  In and out of jail most of her life, Clara still managed to make the mayors son fall in love with her and marry her.

 

But, his drinking got on Miss Barton’s nerves and although Clara claims he got drunk and said a team of mules trampled him and killed him.  No one in town believed it and although it couldn’t be proven, but it is believed that Clara beat him to death with her rifle!!!

 

And that is what has landed Clara Barton here with the band of miss-fits the Winchester Widows.
